Stoelshiatsu en verpleegkundigen/ medisch personeel

Zowel in het UMCG als in het Martiniziekenhuis ben ik de afgelopen maanden wekelijks op de werkvloer te vinden om verpleegkundigen, artsen/arts-assistenten en ander medisch personeel een stoelmassage te geven. Het feit dat ik in een korte bijlage heb uitgelegd wat Shiatsu stoelmassage is, laat bij een aantal de wenkbrauwen optrekken.Een beetje sceptisch komen sommigen binnen. Logisch, ik ben zelf ook volgens de Westerse manier van denken opgeleid tot A verpleegkundige en dan komen Oosterse denkwijzen- als je niet beter weet- misschien als iets heel alternatiefs over. Inmiddels ben ik door de wol geverfd wat betreft meningen en bezwaren van mensen en het enige wat ik als antwoord heb in de korte tijd die ik even met heb heb is: ga lekker zitten , laat het denken even los en ervaar nu maar gewoon wat het effect is . Holistisch denken hebben we immers wèl allen geleerd. Het effect van aanraken is groot , het effect van even loslaten van de hectiek van alle dag is helemaal zeldzaam in deze tijd. De 20 minuten die iemand even door mag brengen bij deze specifieke stoelmassage geeft een heel weldadig resultaat. Het is laagdrempelig; de kleding blijft aan en het is van die duur dat je over het algemeen zó je werk kunt overdragen om eventjes deze pauze te kunnen nemen. De reacties zijn oprecht enthousiast: minder hoofdpijn, nek en-of schouderklachten, weer even helder de puntjes op e "i " kunnen krijgen en prettiger verder kunnen werken gedurende de dag.( en zelfs een paar dagen daarna nog het gevoel hebben alsof je een zware tas van je schouders hebt laten halen.) Zij blij en ik blij: het aller- aller- allerleukste van mijn 14 jaar werken als verpleegkundige is altijd de voldoening geweest die ik kreeg als iemand weer lekker(der) in zijn vel zat. Dit is nu mijn vakgebied geworden en ik zou bijvoorbeeld ook heel graag meer in de patiëntenzorg willen gaan betekenen. Ziek zijn , pijn hebben, zorgen hebben ; ik zou zoveel goeds kunnen doen. De service kan wel een booster gebruiken denk.Eens zien of ik hier actie opkan ondernemen.In ieder geval heb ik een kleine bijdrage kunnen leveren aan het welzijn van degenen die de patiënten verzorgen en dat heeft indirect natuurlijk ook effect! In ieder geval specialiseer ik me nu door de héle opleiding Shiatsu te doen en mijn enthousiasme wordt alleen maar groter. |
